Agnotology All the Time

I’m tired of hearing/reading about AI, Twitter, and Trump.

Agnotology is a branch of science which studies the ways in which doubt or ignorance about certain subjects is created.

It is the study of deliberate, culturally induced ignorance or doubt.

Typically, the objective is to sell a product, influence opinion, or win favor, particularly through the publication of inaccurate or misleading scientific data (disinformation).

How does this relate to artificial intelligence, social media, or presidential elections?

Synthetic machines can’t be relied on if accurate information is critical for the business use case.

Twitter is the playtoy of a modern-day Howard Hughes (levered up with the help of Saudis) to listen to sycophants, and take advantage of media entities & journalists with sunk cost, ego, and motivated reasoning to stay in the town square flooded with shit.
